DR. REID: A full mouth reconstruction is really ideal for those patients who have a severally debilitated dental condition, needing lots of dental work in lots of different areas. Becoming a mouth sort of completely gone to pieces and then we can work together to restore that back to ideal form with good aesthetic results. And it is amazing that great aesthetic result is what makes people feel happy and confident. It also obviously, being able to speak and chew and function is absolutely the most important thing as well. It takes place over several visits and I would say the most important visit is that first visit where we sit down and talk about who you got here, where you want to go and where you want to end up for the final result.
We make impressions, we take x-rays and sometimes we will meet with other specialists and together as a team we decide what is the best approach for you the patient and you are really part of this process as well.
