Dr. Penny Planzos is a prosthodontist, a dentist who specializes in the treatment and diagnosis of dental and facial problems. She uses restorative techniques to correct tooth and jaw problems because these oral health concerns can be particularly painful and lead to additional facial and dental damage.

Dental Crowns
If you have a damaged or decaying tooth, Dr. Planzos can create a custom dental crown to fit over your tooth to protect and strengthen it once the compromised tissue has been removed.
Dental Bridges
Localized areas of tooth loss, like two to three missing teeth in a row, can be restored with a bridge composed of pontics that have been fused together and are supported by crowns on adjacent abutment teeth.
Dentures
Dentures are best for patients who are missing all or most of their teeth. Traditional and partial dentures can be removed and are custom-made for your comfort.
Implant-Supported Restorations
Crowns, bridges, and dentures can be supported by dental implants, metal posts that are surgically placed in the jaw to replace tooth roots and prevent jawbone atrophy.
Veneers
Veneers are thin porcelain shells that are bonded to the front surface of a tooth to conceal imperfections such as gaps, minor tooth damage, and discoloration.

I had a great experience at Brooklyn Heights Dental. I generally hate going to the dentist but this was an efficient and easy visit. I did not wait long to be seen, and the staff was extremely welcoming and kind. The hygienist was very empathetic to a couple sensitive areas, and I had a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend.
